Wellesley Republicans believe in:

Free-market capitalism, economic freedom, free enterprise, deregulation.
The market economy, allocating resources by the free play of supply and demand is the single economic system compatible with personal freedom and constitutional government. A market-based economy has generated the most amount of wealth and prosperity in the US every witnessed in the history of mankind. Conservatism enacts policies which benefit all Americans and that aim to lift everyone to prosperity, especially the disadvantaged.

Compassion by lifting those in poverty to prosperity.
Since 2017, 1.4 million Americans have been lifted out of poverty. With incomes rising for Americans, the poverty rate fell to its lowest level since 2001.
Disadvantaged groups experienced the largest poverty reductions in 2018. The poverty rate fell by 0.9 percentage points for black Americans and by 0.8 percentage points for Hispanic Americans, with both groups reaching historic lows
Real median household income increased to more than $63,000 in 2018, the highest level in nearly two decades. A growing economy that produces more jobs and higher earnings has driven the improvement in economic well-being.

Jobs.
Since 2016, 4.7 million more full-time, year-round workers have been added to the workforce. Their earnings are higher, as well. Real median earnings of full-time, year-round workers increased by 3.4 percent ($1,832) among men and by 3.3 percent ($1,439) among women in 2018 compared to the previous year.
Policies such as tax reform and deregulation, have unleashed the private sector. As a result, unemployment has reached record lows, millions of jobs have been added, and wages have risen. Everyone has benefited from this, especially the most disadvantaged.

Tax policy.
Reducing taxes stimulates the economy to grow bigger and stronger. It allows businesses to hire more employees and raise wages. Reducing income taxes for individuals allows people to hold on to more disposable income, which they can then spend, save, or invest. This in turn stimulates the economy and creates more jobs and wealth in the economy.
Freedom of the individual.
We believe private citizens and individuals are more apt to make the best decisions for themselves, their families and their business than government officials.

The Constitution of the United States is the best arrangement for empowering the government while restraining it from concentration and abuse of power.

Strong National Defense.
“Peace through Strength” with an optic of “Does it serve the just interests of the United States?”

The Bill of Rights is there to protect us citizens from the government.

Family values are at the core of a productive, prosperous and peaceful society. These values cannot be replaced by government programs.
We encourage you to join us and get
engaged in your town and state government.
